Hi, Nadine! I wouldn't recommend omitting the nutritional yeast—it's the ingredient that adds a cheesy quality and a sort of irreplaceable depth to the overall flavor. Unfortunately, there really isn't a substitute for it! I wish there was. Most grocery stores carry it in the "health food" aisle or baking aisle, but you can also find it online.
